    Get PDF
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are built on the successes of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which consists of 17 goals as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity. The assessment of peopleā€™s awareness and knowledge on SDGs is of paramount importance to support any subsequent actions. The awareness of SDGs is higher compared to the previous agenda MDGs only in particular emerging countries; hence, it requires better progress after more than three years of its establishment. University students, as the agent of changes, are supposed to have a higher level of awareness and knowledge rather than average. When the university students have a better awareness and higher knowledge on SDGs, they can actively contribute to support, promote, and achieve the development goals by making use of their academic background. The objective of this research is to assess the level of awareness and knowledge on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among university students in Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Data for this research are collected by field Survey and Questionnaire. This research analyzes data by using descriptive statistics and Chi-Square. The results show 89.5% of students are aware and 62.5% of students have high knowledge about SDGs. We found that studentsā€™ knowledge is only affected by the accessibility of information and studentsā€™ awareness is related to not only accessibility of information but also gender. Both awareness and knowledge are not affected by studentsā€™ participation in the organization

This paper studies the connection between social media addiction and mental disorder from the existing investigation among undergraduate students. A comprehensive document search was conducted by using six electronic databases, including PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, Web of Science, JSTOR, ProQuest Education to identify articles published before November 21st, 2019. All collected papers focused on studying social media addiction and psychosis. Two reviewers individualistically evaluated the quality of the study by using the Joanna Briggs Instituteā€™s approach. Five articles were filtered out through the screening process and included in the review. The high prevalence of social addiction among college students (9.7% ~ 41%) has been clarified. The association between social media addiction and mental disorders is positive for student health. This article contributes to raising awareness and finding solutions to these risk problems. The study also confirms the connection between online shopping addiction and eating disorders among social addicts. We also discuss the causes and harms of social media addiction

BackgroundThis review aims to summarize the antiapoptotic, pro-survival, and antifibrotic effects of exercise training in hypertensive hearts.MethodsKeyword searches were conducted in PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus in May 2021. Research published in English on the effects of exercise training on the apoptosis, survival, and fibrosis pathways in hypertension was included. The CAMARADES checklist was used to determine the quality of the studies. Two reviewers independently implemented predesigned protocols for the search and selection of studies, the assessment of study quality, and the evaluation of the strength of evidence.ResultsEleven studies were included after selection. The duration of the exercise training ranged from 5 to 27 weeks. Nine studies showed that exercise training improved cardiac survival rates by increasing IGF-1, IGF-1 receptor, p-PI3K, Bcl-2, HSP 72, and p-Akt. Furthermore, 10 studies showed that exercise training reduced apoptotic pathways by downregulating Bid, t-Bid, Bad, Bak, Bax, TNF, and FADD. Finally, two studies reported the modification and subsequent improvement of physiological characteristics of fibrosis and decreased MAPK p38 and PTEN levels by exercise training in the left ventricle of the heart.ConclusionsThe findings of the review showed that exercise training could improve cardiac survival rates and attenuate cardiac apoptotic and fibrotic pathways in hypertension, suggesting that exercise training could act as a therapeutic approach to prevent hypertension-induced cardiac apoptosis and fibrosis.Systematic Review Registrationhttps://www.crd.york.ac.uk, identifier: CRD42021254118

[[abstract]]Background: The aging population is projected to grow dramatically in the next decade. United Nations estimated that people over 60 years will be more than double from the current 6.9% to 16.4%. Sleep disturbance is one of major health concerns among older adults. Sleep disturbances increased with age, and older adults who retired tended to have poor quality of sleep. The percentage of Indonesian older adults is 10.6% and will continue to increase to 16.5% by 2035. Although previous study found 10% of Indonesian older adults having insomnia, the report of sleep disturbance among older adults and retired population was limited. Objective: For the first study, the objective were examine the prevalence of sleep disturbance and its psychological outcomes among retired older adults and investigate the related variables using comprehensive systematic review. For second study, the objective was to explore the prevalence rate of sleep disturbances and associated factors in Indonesian older adults (60 years and above) base on national survey. Method: The first study followed Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. Six databases (Scopus, PscyNet, Cochrane, PubMed, CINAHL, and Web of Science) employed a comprehensive systematic review. Inclusion criteria were the studies in English, quantitative design, and peer-reviewed. To assess the quality of the included studies, we used the Joanna Briggs Institute checklists. The second study took part in the cross-sectional Indonesian Family Life Survey-5 (IFLS-5) in 2014-15. The dataset provided information about sociodemographic, several health-related variables, and sleep disturbance with items from the survey. Analysis multivariable logistic regression was performed to assess the association of sociodemographic factors, health-related variables, and sleep disturbance. Result: Systematic review result showed that female, marriage problems, health problems, and lack of physical activity affect sleep disturbance and psychological outcomes among retired older adults. Sleep disturbance prevalence in the Indonesian older adult and retired older adults was 30.3% and 30%, respectively. Besides, the result of quantitative study among Indonesian older adults found that the factors of the sleep disturbance experienced participants were age, female, having a disability in physical functioning, having more than one problems of IADL, high physical activity, depression, and loneliness. In addition, among retired older adults age, females, high education attainment, disability in physical functioning, high physical activity, depression, and loneliness had a higher risk of developing sleep disturbance. Conclusion: Based on systematic results, sleep disturbance prevalence among retired older adults were varied. However, there were similarities in the prevalence of sleep disturbance in either Indonesian older adults and retired older adults. In this study, we found that age, gender particularly female, having a disability in physical functioning, high level of physical activity, depression, and loneliness were significantly associated with sleep disturbance in both Indonesian older adults and retired older adults. The development of early intervention, comprehensive geriatric assessment of sleep disturbances related to its associated factors in Indonesian older adults should be warranted

    (1) Background: The importance of physician-patient communication and its effect on patient satisfaction has become a hot topic and has been studied from various aspects in recent years. However, there is a lack of systematic reviews to integrate recent research findings into patient satisfaction studies with physician communication. Therefore, this study aims to systematically examine physician communication’s effect on patient satisfaction in public hospitals. (2) Methods: Using a keywords search, data was collected from five databases for the papers published until October 2021. Original studies, observational studies, intervention studies, cross-sectional studies, cohort studies, experimental studies, and qualitative studies published in English, peer-reviewed research, and inpatients who communicated with the physician in a hospital met the inclusion criteria. (3) Results: Overall, 11 studies met the inclusion criteria from the 4810 articles found in the database. Physicians and organizations can influence two determinants of inpatient satisfaction in physician communication. Determinants of patient satisfaction that physicians influence consist of amounts of time spent with the patient, verbal and nonverbal indirect interpersonal communication, and understanding the demands of patients. The organization can improve patient satisfaction with physician communication by the organization’s availability of interpreter service and physician workload. Physicians’ communication with inpatients can affect patient satisfaction with hospital services. (4) Conclusions: To improve patient satisfaction with physician communication, physicians and organizational determinants must be considered
